Westlands has been a successful care home for over 30 years, providing high-quality residential care for the elderly. 

As an independent care home, we are able to attract and retain high-quality staff, allowing us to provide a continuity of care that can be hard to find. Our staff team comprises of 18 talented and dedicated individuals covering care, kitchen, housekeeping and maintenance. Focusing on person-centred care, we get to know our residents, their stories, favourite pastimes and activities.

The Westlands owner Nigel Mallinson is very involved in the running of the home. Together with the Manager Alison Govier, they make a strong management team enjoying very good relationships with residents, their families and friends. Alison joined Westlands as Manager in June 2020 bringing with her 15 years of experience in care including 6 years in a hospital setting and 9 years in two very successful care homes in the region. Alison’s qualifications include Level 5 Diploma in Management and Adult Social Care aswell as being a fully trained Phlebotomist.
